Supported Cooking Classes: Do you have a Participant who is looking to improve their Independence with meal preparation? We can assist by building capacity to understand how to plan menus, shop for ingredients, understand basic nutrition, and safely prepare simple, healthy meals.
Budgeting Basics: Do you know someone who is struggling to manage their finances, do they want to be more independent and free with their money? My Life Accommodation and Care Solutions can help you Learn how to track weekly expenses, create a realistic spending plan, and save for personal goals. Overall we aim to have you learn all the ins and outs of your finances.
Travel Training: Does a participant need safe, supported help mastering local public transport? We can help assist someone to use public transport (buses, trains) safely and independently, including reading timetables and navigating new routes in Melbourne.
How does the NDIS fund Group and Centre-Based Activities?
From the Core Supports you have a sub-category ‘Assistance with social and community participation’.
From the Capacity Building Supports you have a sub-category which is called ‘Increased Social and Community Participation’.
These cover the cost of the hourly rate for the support worker assisting you in a group activity.
