Lourdes is a highly experienced House Leader who has dedicated nearly a decade to the disability sector. Beginning her journey as a support worker in 2016, she brings almost 10 years of deep industry knowledge and a heartfelt commitment to the wellbeing of every participant she supports.
In her role as House Leader, Lourdes oversees a team of over 12 support workers, managing rosters and ensuring strict compliance with NDIS standards. She is a natural organizer who thrives on clear communication, regularly coordinating care team meetings and maintaining strong relationships with NDIS stakeholders and practitioners. Lourdes also places a high priority on family connection, ensuring that families are supported with regular updates, clear communication, and assistance with visits.
A strong advocate for “choice and control,” Lourdes focuses on empowering participants to make their own daily decisions and access the community with confidence. She is a leader who believes in the power of listening. By understanding her team’s needs and standing up for them when it matters, she creates a supportive and organized working environment. She sets high expectations for her staff, leading by example to ensure that every human being under her care receives the best that life has to offer.
