Meet John
House Leader
With a strong background as a support worker spanning over four years, John brings extensive experience and a hands-on leadership style to the My Life team.
In his role, John manages a large team of over 19 staff members, ensuring that rosters, participant calendars, and health requirements—including regular physio and Positive Behaviour Support (BSP)—are executed with precision and care. He is highly skilled in supporting participants with complex needs, including diabetes management, catheter care, Parkinson’s disease, and High Physical Support requirements. John also works closely with NDIS stakeholders to organize specialist equipment and secure essential funding approvals, ensuring every participant has the tools they need to succeed.
John is a firm believer in leading by example. He is passionate about mentoring his team, raising the collective knowledge of his staff, and fostering a culture of delegation and mutual growth. By empowering his support workers, he ensures a high standard of wellbeing for everyone in the home. For John, the ultimate goal is simple: putting a smile on a participant’s face and helping them achieve their daily goals.
A message from John
“I’m a huge advocate for getting out into the community! I truly believe that fresh air and socializing are vital for mental health, and I love seeing our participants active and engaged in the world around them. To me, this industry isn’t just about providing a service; it’s about having a genuine passion to make a change for the better. If you’re here for the right reasons, you’ll love this job as much as I do—it’s a privilege to bring a better day to those we support, every single day.”
