When Jesse’s enquiry first came through, he was temporarily staying with family and looking for a shared SIL environment that could support his goals, routines, and independence. After meeting with Jesse and understanding what mattered most to him, our team worked closely with his supports to ensure a smooth and comfortable transition into his new home.
Jesse leads an active and fulfilling weekly schedule. Between community participation programs, regular appointments, and social activities, he keeps himself meaningfully engaged and connected. His enthusiasm for staying busy is matched by his commitment to maintaining healthy routines, especially when it comes to food.
One of Jesse’s favourite parts of independent living is cooking and meal planning. He enjoys preparing meals for his week ahead, choosing recipes, and organising his ingredients. It’s a skill he takes pride in, and our team loves seeing his confidence grow in the kitchen.
Jesse has settled into his new home beautifully. His family and friends visit regularly, and their ongoing involvement has helped him feel grounded, supported, and connected. His presence brings warmth, humour, and a fabulous energy to the house, and he has truly been a delight to support.
