MY LIFE IN THE COMMUNITY
At My Life Accommodation and Care Solutions, we believe that home extends far beyond four walls. Throughout February, our participants have been out and about across Gippsland, Frankston, Casey, and the south-east Melbourne corridor, exploring new places, building skills, and making memories.
February Community Access Highlights
- Bowling outings in Gippsland and Casey regions, with participants enjoying both the game and the social atmosphere
- Shopping trips to local centres, supporting money management and social skills
- Museum visits and cultural outings in the Latrobe Valley region
- Regular walks and morning outings in local parks and neighbourhoods
- Church services and spiritual activities for interested participants
- Family reunions and birthday celebrations bringing loved ones together
- Local cafe visits and community dining experiences
- Singing sessions and music activities fostering creative expression
- Gippy Groovers group activities building social confidence
- Interchange community programs providing structured social engagement
Our community access programs are an essential part of the support we provide. They give participants the opportunity to practise daily living skills, build social connections, develop confidence, and experience the richness of life in their local communities. Every outing, no matter how small, is a step towards greater independence and a more fulfilling life.
