Mariam’s Respite Stay
This August, our Moe SIL home had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Mariam for a full month of respite while her informal support enjoyed a well‑deserved cruise around the world. From the moment she arrived, Mariam settled in beautifully and quickly became a cherished part of the home’s daily rhythm.
With support from our dedicated staff, Mariam continued her usual weekly routine, including attending her regular community programs, ensuring her month away from home remained familiar, structured, and meaningful. She adapted to the environment with ease, engaging warmly with both staff and housemates.
One of the highlights of Mariam’s stay was the arrival of her beloved cat, who joined her for the duration of her respite. As a pet‑friendly provider, we were delighted to accommodate her furry companion, adding an extra layer of comfort and joy to her time with us.
Her gentle nature, bright personality, and willingness to join in made her a delight to support. The home felt warm and lively with her around, and her presence was appreciated by everyone.
We are grateful to have been part of Mariam’s respite journey and look forward to welcoming her back in the future whenever she needs a safe, supportive, and engaging place to stay.
